Respraying your kitchen however, provides a stunning transformation for a fraction of the cost, time and hassle. By respraying your existing cabinets and structures, you save time and money while still achieving a brand-new look.
A complete kitchen replacement could leave you without a usable space for weeks. A kitchen respray, on the other hand, often takes just a couple of days, minimising disruption to your daily routine and ensuring a brand new look in minimal time. You save time, money and stress while still achieving a brand-new look.
Environmental Impact
Why throw out perfectly good, structurally sound kitchen cabinets when you can respray them? Respraying kitchens reduces waste, making it a greener choice for your home and the planet.
When deciding to respray your kitchen, assess your kitchen’s current state. Are the cabinets structurally sound? If yes, they’re ideal candidates for respraying. Be sure to look for any signs of damage, like water exposure or warping especially around sinks, dishwashers and other kitchen appliances as they may need fixing first. Be sure to tell us of any known issues allowing us to decide on the best way forward.
The fun part: selecting the perfect colour palette. From rich reds, all out green, maybe simple and effective black or white. We can match to all the popular ranges including Farrow & Ball, Valspar, Benjamin Moore etc, we can also match to any sample bigger than 2 cm squared for example a door knob can be sent to the supplier to mix the same colour as existing. The next choice would be whether you want a matte, satin, or gloss finish to complement your style we work on reflection of light that would usually be available from 10% to 70%, 10% would be equivalent to a matte 30% satin and 50% and above would be into the realms of gloss.
Proper surface preparation is crucial for factory finish. This involves thoroughly cleaning the surfaces to remove grease and grime first with soapy water followed by panel wipe, we then sand all over to key the surface to ensure the best possible adhesion and blow off any dust and wipe over with a tack rag ensuring the best possible start.
High-quality primers and paints designed specifically for respraying kitchen cabinets is a must. Spray painting kitchens is by far superior to traditional brushes or rollers. One coat of high build primer is applied and left to dry. Once dried it will be sanded and checked for imperfections to ensure no mistakes before the second coat of primer is applied. Again we give ample drying time before applying the top coat of paint this ensures that fresh out the factory finish. We check in-between each coat to make sure everything is perfect.
Combine two complementary colours for a striking effect- let your style and personality run wild. It should be mentioned this option comes with more cost and extra time as there are more colours to be applied meaning the cost of two different paints would need to be ordered and the first colour would need to dry then be masked but the finish job will be as unique as you.
Keep it simple with a single colour for a sleek, modern look. Shades like charcoal or black are a popular choice for those who love a bold state or the art look.
Add a splash of personality with a bold hue on your island or a few select cabinets. Mustard yellow, teal, or coral can create a dynamic focal point. Make your kitchen stand out to you.
Don't use anything chemically (harsh chemicals) or physically abrasive (sponges), instead opt for warm water and a micro fibre cloth to avoid scratching the finish.
Respraying your kitchen is a fantastic way to modernise your space without breaking the bank, it’s eco-friendly, time efficient, and offers endless amounts of customisation making it bespoke for your home. Sprayed Tech Solutions is here to offer you a superb journey of reigniting that spark in home improvement, having your home how you want it.
